Dr. Kaush Arha is a pioneering architect for free and open spaces network, trusted connectivity and tech diplomacy. He is a leading voice for plurilateral architecture for economic security and trusted technology. He has near three decades of experience as senior executive across US government at state, federal and diplomatic posts. He is regarded as an original strategist and policy entrepreneur with talent to conceive and execute new initiatives, institutions and strategies.
Prior to founding the FOIP Foundation Dr. Arha directed the USAID Executive Council of agency leadership to operationalize U.S. National Security Strategy in executing U.S. economic partnership and development assistance in the global competitive space. He served as the G7 Sherpa for Infrastructure in 2020. He established unprecedented bi-lateral interagency coordination forums for Japan-US Strategic Energy Partnership (JUSEP) and Japan-US Strategic Digital Economy Partnership (JUSDEP). He received USAID Distinguished Honor Award for exceptional service and achievements of national and international significance.
Dr. Arha earlier served as Senior Foreign Service Officer at US Embassy Kabul as the inaugural senior coordinator for Transition to Afghan governance as the Interagency lead for Afghan agricultural development. Previously he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary and Associate Solicitor General at US Department of Interior. He began his professional career as director for State of Wyoming. In between he has been practicing as an attorney and working as visiting professor.
Dr. Arha received his doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, and law degree from Stanford University.
